Count Down to the Third Annual Gulu 5K
In a few weeks the third annual Gulu 5K and new "Doggie Dash" will take place. Final preparations are being made, registration is beginning, and the excitement of knowing the efforts of this event will not only continue the growth of St. Catherine of Siena Nursery School, but will be where the door to education will be open for so many children.
Meet Brian, one of the youngest at the school
While visiting the school in April, I observed some of these little children walking independently to school, while others were brought by motorcycle or bicycles. They started their day eager to learn from the teachers as well as from each other. Their energy lasted until time of dismissal. It was truly one of happiest days of my life to experience the joy the children had for being at school!
